EXPLODING
THE MYTH OF DEATH:
Chronicling
the Awakening of a Revolutionary New Worldview
wHeretwoworldsTouch.com was created to chronicle the awakening of a
revolutionary new worldview in which conscious survival of physical
death is no longer regarded merely as a passive, arguable religious
"belief" but is universally acknowledged as common
knowledge and experience. Because, as studies have
shown, this perspective fosters a "spontaneous development of moral
consciousness and reverence for all life," the potential
consequences of global acceptance of this view, are enormous and
inconceivably extraordinary. Imagine the whole of humanity
operating from this understanding!

About this graphic:
An inspiration based on the idea we each have the inner option consciously
to build bridges into the Larger Life Reality. Alas, many
of us these days do not recognize the import of an inner spiritual life.
Even so, no matter how polished or primitive, how finished or not, I
can't help but imagine all our efforts are rewarded!

[W]e may gain an ultimate
incandescence where science and religion fuse into one cosmic evolution of
Energy into Life , and of Life into Love, which is Joy."
[Myers, Frederic W. H. Human
Personality and Its Survival of Bodily Death ]
Frederic Myers was one of the
original visionary co-founders of the British-based Society for Psychical
Research (SPR) in 1882. Psychical investigation originated
among some of the most notable people of that time, including the
inimitable William James, Henry and Eleanor Sidgwick (a revered Cambridge
couple), J. J. Thomson (discoverer of the electron), Arthur Balfour
(before he became Great Britain's Prime Minister), Stainton Moses (a
widely regarded clergyman), Lord Rayleigh (discoverer of argon), Lewis
Carroll (aka Charles Dodgson), Sir William Barrett (a renown Irish
physicist), Alfred Tennyson, William Gladstone, Sir Oliver Lodge, and
Samuel Clemmons. These individuals as a whole found the idea of the
universe as a great machine to be reprehensible, ...

The Opportunity to Choose
Between Belief and Doubt
" It appears that each exceptional human experience is potentially
life-changing in its significance. It depends on how the person
receives it and responds to it. ... (E)ach one really offers
the experiencer (and to some extent, those who read or hear about a given
experience) a window with a new view, and they provide an opportunity to choose
between belief and doubt. (This is an opportunity of unparalleled
importance.) One must decide whether to provisionally trust the
experience or explain it away or dismiss it. Those who choose to
believe find they have opened a door leading to additional experiences that
provide entrance to a world where their lives become charged with
meaning. Those who doubt stay outside the gate, surrounded by the
familiar inhospitable and even abusive arms of the worldview that has been with
us since the Enlightenment, and which we were taught was reality.
Their lives are chaotic and bereft of meaning, and many turn to drugs, [etc.]
not to embrace the world but to forget it."

Death-Transcendent
EHErs
|
Dear Rachael ...
|
These come from two sources -- your
life stories, written in the form of EHE autobiographies and books/other
media. What is significant is that these narratives provide a sense
of perspective. They offer a more holistic glimpse of the whole
person. Certainly one of the most fascinating and enlightening aspects of
DT-EHEs is how they are woven into the uniquely threaded tapestry of hir
life.
|
Dear
Friends,
I invite you to write to us with your insights, tribulations, rhapsodies
and explorations as a result of having had any type of
death-transcendent
'Exceptional Human Experience',
an anomalous, transportive experience that opens the door for you into the
direct, personal discovery or awareness of that which on this site is
referred to as the "Larger-Life
Reality," leaving you with the clear knowing that though
the body eventually dies, one's conscious sense of self, the 'I', does
not. What have you learned? What confusions did the
experience leave you with? What does this mean for you and
your life? Has it changed you? What are you doing
differently or other that is the result of your DT EHE? Would
you welcome opportunities to do it again?

Death-Transcendent
EHE Stories
|
Surveys
|
Have you ever had a paranormal type
of experience, leaving
you first and last with the unequivocal awareness that, regardless of
the body's ultimate fate, there is no death of one's conscious self?
Some examples are near-death experience,
out-of-body experience, communication with someone who passed, maybe with
a pet, reincarnation memory, mystical or visionary experience [see our
list]. Sometimes, it's someone else's experiences that
similarly impact on us! Send
us your stories--about what transformed YOU -- Depending on the response,
as many as possible will be considered for posting here and in our
DT- EHE
archive. We will use or not use your name exactly as you
designate.
Although
I doubt I will hold you to this, please try to keep them under a
page. I may edit them, primarily for length, and if I have time, for
spelling, etc. if you would like me to.
Also
here you will find quoted EHE stories from recommended books and other
sources. If you have any to suggest that you don't see in our
archives, please let us know!
|
The
subjects of the surveys can be tremendously varied. They will accrue
as suggestions and ideas come in, so though only one may be highlighted on
this page, if you click 'more' below you can go to a page where you will
find the whole collection.
Please
answer any given survey question only once, period. If you have any
such questions you'd like to see here, let us know!
This
is for anyone who has had a 'classic' life review or near-death experience
that included a life review: did your sleep and/or dream life show
up in your life review? ...

Bet you're thinking this is about
card-carrying parapsychologists, right? Actually it's about you and
me and US as DT-EHE experiencers, we who have actually been graced by such
events, and / or who just long to know more about them (and now and then,
that certainly includes folks who make a living at trying to understand
such things as death-transcendent exceptional human experiences) ...
