We Are
the
Consciousness Shift Movement.
We
[one-fourth to one-half of the global population] are the green-growing
tip of a new type of Human consciousness and a species-wide Consciousness Movement with
absolutely no precedent.*

As has been said elsewhere, we as a Movement are yet to discover a
platform of oneness big enough to embrace all this dynamic, co-creative
-- I could go on and on with the adjectives! -- awakening
consciousness.
Our up-to-the-present growing new consensus, from the outside looking
in, without taking more than the superficial aspects into consideration,
looks much as our previous-to-present one being outgrown.
This includes:

Our
individual lives continue, looking much the same on the outside, to
a point. On a one-by-one basis, as Claire Blatchford
[contemporary mystic] has said so aptly, "... [S]igns
everywhere. ... Once one wakes up to it, one is constantly surprised
coming across others who have also woken up to it. A friend
says, "We recognize each other by the look of clarity in our
eyes." This could be said to be like the individual
cells of the brain.

Thus
far, we have expressed our growing aftereffects understanding in
countless ways that have made a difference in the larger
world. We have cultivated an extravagant, global network of
communal and activist group affiliations of all kinds. The
number and variety is mind-boggling, represented by ecological,
social, and triple-bottom-line business concerns, as well as
spiritual, educational, and community interests. These are
analogous to specialized nuclei for all the many and elegant
functions of the brain.

whole new fields of consciousness [transpersonal psychology,
psychoneuroimmunology, survival studies], and a whole phlange of
spiritual groups. We could say these are similar to special
complexes in the brain, almost like organs in some instances -- the
pituitary gland, the amigdala / emotional brain, etc.
So, within the metaphor of the developing brain-mind, our individual
selves are the cells, the various group commitments are the nuclei of
specialized functions, some of which overlap and interrelate in many and
wonderful ways, but we have no collective, connective sense of
"I," yet. Where do we find our singular sense of Self as
a Movement?
Ultimately, this must be acknowledged as the consciousness shift
that comes from these exceptional human experiences. A secondary
affirmative and support and enrichment of that comes from those who are
our EHE Empaths. Together we as EHEers and Empaths recognize from
within and live irrepressibly out of this upgrade in consciousness
reflected in the EHE Aftereffects.
wHeretwoworldsTouch.com is a focal point for this Movement to bring into
being its ONE Voice, nurtured and celebrated for is own sake and
nurturing the world in every conceivable way. The LAL in
particular is a homing ground for that to find expression [really, in
all the subwebs, but the LAL is where they all come converge within the
context of global community.

endeavor continues to grow in its own natural way, just as any of us and
all of us do. Also, you will begin to see far and away more input

mirror of the new consensus reality of the countless many of us, and not
just the little visionary voice with her ear pressed to the Heart of the
Mother that is our singular sacred being, the Earth.]]]

The LAL celebrates and nurtures the understanding, the thrill
of this growing, mutual recognition and in resonance with the defining
traits associated with the Cultural
Creatives and/or
EHEers
are indeed a substantial Movement, a population of who-knows-how-many
millions of people in the USA alone, and extravagantly more than this in
the world as a whole. This subweb focuses on what we tend to have
in common, how our values and interests reflect in our usually deeply
thought-out, highly individualistic ways of living and being in the
world, our passionate commitment to global sustainability, and reverence
for all life.
The model that first came to mind for the Living the Awakened Life
Portal for this global movement as-one organized whole is the liveliness, positiveness, and scope and activism
of the
American Association of Retired People / AARP, as one
of the largest lobbying USA agencies for just you and me folks. I like to think of the LAL as a
world-wide, from-the-ground/roots-up 'Alternative
AARP' -- and hurriedly add: including and honoring all ages!
Implicit is the above understanding about values and intentions we hold
in common.

Together,
we are an Awakening Global Movement, a living,
breathing Presence, which is what the LAL is all about, so we
can find and recognize ourselves/each other in this context and
find ways to support each other and co-create the sustainable
world and quality of life that by right belongs to every living
being. This Idea will become a bloggerly conversation that
has the potential to unleash a level of collaborative creativity
that will make its own mark in the world. Maybe one
day, for some truly wonderful successes we will be able to feel
the delight or their having originated here.

of the Awakened Life: Their stories [EHEers and
Core CCs] -- about their transformative events, especially in
terms of what was before and what came after the consciousness
shift that has come to define them and their lives. This
can be created and accessed as a page with all the requisite
questions and fill-in boxes. These will be published after
being reviewed by our staff.

Making a Positive Difference: Bios of people whose
lives reflect the kind of consciousness shift wHe is about.
Most will be hirstorical figures; some will be our postmodern
contemporaries.

Similar
to Products/Services, these are first approved by the wHe/AtL
staff and board. But once they are up on the site, they are
subject to reviews by our clientele. We will
implement some process by which this is maintained with
studied care. Again, much as with our products/services, I
want this to become a reliable reference resource about
and for these organizations.

This
will be orchestrated to become, like the hub of a many-spoked
wheel, a mega-organization that
will keep people informed not only about the individual
causes and what they can do to help in each instance, but
also will be set up with the agreement that we can and
will help each other, multiplying our support and mutual
awareness of issues and needs in an exquisitely timely and
powerful manner. We will have some kind
of flag system to give everyone the heads-up when there is
some crisis needing attention or a legislative vote about
to be made that needs petitions signed or timely funding
[e.g., Katrina] or even recruits for various projects like
medical staff volunteers to meet disaster situations,
which would be responded to by the constituents of all
these great numbers of organizations, as if on the turn of
a dime.

Where
the usual activist activity is focused on putting out
fires or stopping them before they get started [such as
"B" above], I believe we can become PRO-active
in creative ways as a meta-organization, together, that we
have never been able to do as individuals or single
organizations. The LAL could be a most exciting
center for new and even more powerful ways toward
achieving our aspirations and goals, finally as a mutually
aware and organized movement!

LAL-Supported
Activities and Interests: These are neither
individual defining LAL aspects, nor specifically related to
business / consumer or activist concerns. These could be
said to be "Projects
of Transcendence" that have a communal component
outside the subject areas mentioned above.

Our
Personal Health, re: the latest brush fires.
Not all that looks well and good in terms of the products or
foods or local water situation or what our homes and furnishings are made of is indeed what we take it to be, even
when it says 'organic' or certified this or that. This
subset of the Activist part of the site addresses that blindspot
with information and ways together we can actively work to
change this challenge. We can set up our own
letter-writing campaigns, petitions, boycotts and other means
for correcting / improving this beyond simply being better
informed. [Maybe we can do something similar about
our collective healthcare concerns!]

organizations, ideas and people to find each other and do their
magic together! One important aspect of this is, we will
ourselves as an "investors' club" [by whatever label
or name] establish our own investment projects. An example

For some reason this part of the web project continues to pull me back again and
again with new ideas. So it's a bit more chaotic and you might notice
layers of ideas, new thrust right on top of the old, which are still present,
things like that, more here than elsewhere, with my apologies!

ourselves as a truly global

Cultural Creatives: How 50 Million People Are Changing the World.

and compare the identifying characteristics of each population. If
you didn't know better, it would seem these two groups could be almost
interchangeable! That is a strong recommendation for upgrading our
awareness about the reality of this global
movement and for its collective awakening whose time has come. As you explore the ideas here, bear in mind this bigger picture
and promise of what must follow: The Awakening of the entire global
humanity to this unitive consciousness, an unprecedented event in our human hirstory.
Ultimately, this is not the privilege of a few; what numerous Experiencers [EHEers] have
been saying is that this consciousness Shift will eventually be everyone's
experience.
The years of research and careful, studied insights of Paul Ray and Sherry Ruth
Anderson's identification of the
Cultural Creatives has served as a similarly provocative wake-up call in raising
our collective consciousness. It has given us a brilliantly documented
referent for a number of unprecedented trends over the last several decades, and
clearly in tandem with the EHEerly research as well. All the aligning 'iron filings' are feeling that connection,
recognizing each other, and this unifying force is growing stronger by the hour!
It's about time, and WE ARE
READY, all over the world, to come
together as a singular great, mutually aware and supportive unity of loving
commitment to take back our power with gentle firmness, with a vision that
honors each person, all living beings, the whole Earth as a living sacred
being. Meaning and purpose fill the world, and there is a LOT of work to
do, a LOT of joy to experience together in the process, a LOT of love to share,
even if sometimes it's 'tuff' love. All we have to do is open our hearts
to embrace it and live it and love it in all our individuating glory, as the one
global family that we all are.

How might we become deeply relational to or for the World Social
Forum? Here's a taste of their passionate and obviously
attracting activism, which comes from a brief in Utne Reader
[Jan. 2004]:
Under the banner "Another World Is Possible,"
representatives of social movements from across the globe will
gather in Mumbai, India, for the fourth annual world Social
Forum. founded in 2--1 as an alternative to the annual
World Economic Forum -- where corporate and government
officials discuss global economic policy in the Swiss resort
town of Davos -- the WSF was established as "an open
meeting place for reflective thinking, democratic debate of
ideas, formulation of proposals, free exchange of experiences
and interlinking for effective action, by groups and movements
of civil society that are opposed to neoliberalism and to
domination of the world by capital and any form of
imperialism, and are committed to building a society centered
on the human person." The first WSF drew 20,000
environmental, peace, and global justice activists to the
Brazilian city of Porto Alegre [2001]. [2003, same
location] drew over 100,000, including numerous heads of
state. [They now alternate between India and

Do they publish a journal that we could publish articles
in? Would this perspective find a place in their annual
gatherings at this stage?
