Many thanks go to the following sources for some of the features found on this website.   In every case the attempt was made to contact the source, as best it could be traced, to ask permission for use of these things.   Sometimes there was no reply or I was not able to track down the correct contact.   If I missed something or someone, please let me know through the 'Contact Us' at the left side or the bottom of each page!!

  1. A portion of the graphic, 'Welcome to wHeretwoworldsTouch' is a NASA photo of the sun [sunrise? sunset?] reflected across the surface of the Earth.   see http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/shuttle/sts-109/html/sts109-345-032.html
  2. The image of the unfinished primitive bridge was put up on Webshots.com under the name 'marcosk' and this was picture #283.  The Webshots address is:  http://community.webshots.com/photo/2059431/2059964EdpfvMgIoN.  I was never able to get enough information from Webshots to contact this photographer.
  3. The translation of Plato's Cave Allegory, found in The Republic, Book VII, is credited to Benjamin Jowett at the following address:  http://classics.mit.edu/Plato/republic.html.   I was never able to get a response to me emails, and this address may not now be entirely functional, but Benjamin Jowett, via an earlier website address is the translator.
  4.  parmenedes@geocities.com.  The web address for the translation is
  5. Lyrics by Alan and Marilyn Bergman; opening lines of the song, "A Piece of Sky" from the movie Yentl
