Hello,We here at TrueMajority get A LOT
of email. To make sure we keep giving each one individual attention, we
created this frequently asked questions page so you can get answers to our
most commonly asked questions without having to wait for a response from us.
About 90% of the emails we get are already answered here, but if your
question isn't, a link to our e-mail address is at the bottom. Please give
us a few weeks to get back to you.
Thanks.

1) You folks are great, how can I help?
Thanks. The most important thing we need right now is more members.
Please tell all of your friends about www.truemajority.org. The more people
who sign up for our free service the more impact we will have. Go on chat
rooms, discussion boards, contact various other organizations you are
involved in. Do whatever you can to spread the word, this is a great help
for us. The more members we have, the more of an impact we will have.
2) Are you guys going to sell my information?
TrueMajority has a very strict Privacy Policy. You can read it here –
http://www.truemajority.org/privacy.cfm We don't sell our lists, but we
occasionally share parts of our lists with partner groups who sent those
people to our site. So if you heard about us from another group we work with
we might share your email address with them.
3) I have a new e-mail address, street address, etc. How do I update my
information?
Thanks for wanting to update your info. Just go to the
profile editor and put in your new information. The first page will
ask you for your email address and then we'll email you a password. That way
only you can change your information.
4) I tried to send my fax to congress and it didn't work.
This can be caused by a bunch of things. First, if you have a PO Box,
re-register using your street address. We can't send faxes if you use your
PO Box address.
5) My CongressPerson is not XXXX, it's actually YYYY.
Thanks for wanting to update your info. Sorry our system makes mistakes
sometimes. To fix it just go to the
profile editor and put in your new information. The first page will
ask you for your email address and then we'll email you a password. That way
only you can change your information.
6) Can you guys send out an alert on XXYY issue?
We always monitor Congress to follow what is moving on our broad agenda
of peace, justice, and sustainability. We would like to alert our members
about more issues, but unfortunately we limit ourselves to 2 or 3 alerts a
month. This is done to avoid annoying members with a lot of emails. The
alerts we send are carefully selected and we make sure we work on issues
where can effect the most change. If a particular issue gets hot, we will
surely take a look at it. Still, if you like to suggest an issue send it to
info@truemajority.org
7) I tried to go to your site but it wasn't working.
Sorry you had trouble. We hate it when the gizmos don't work. Well, you
can see the site is obviously running now, so hopefully that was just a
one-time problem.
8) Your site is too busy/takes too long to download.
We try to make the site fun, but if it is hard for you to use don't
worry. Once you sign up for our free Congress Monitoring service you don't
have to go back to the site. We'll email alerts once or twice a month when
something is going on and to send your fax you just need to send the email
back to us by hitting REPLY and SEND and we'll send the fax out for you with
your name on it.
9) Why do you ask for my prefix? Or I'd like to use Rev., Rabbi, etc.
We only ask for a prefix because occasionally we can't get our faxes
through and some Senators only accept messages through a form on their web
page. That form requires prefix and we offer the same options they currently
do. Sorry for the hassle.
10) How can I change the letter that I am sending?
The great thing about our faxes is that you can customize them to say
anything you want. So if you're ever unsatisfied with what we are saying,
feel free to write your own message and send it out. All you have to do is
click the link in the email alert we send you and it will take you right to
our Action Center where you can customize the letter before it goes out.
11) I want to tell 100 people about TrueMajority, but there's only room
for four people! What do I do?
Just forward the alert you got from us to everyone on your list. Each
e-mail has a link back to our site for people who got the message from a
friend. Thanks for spreading the word!
12) You are a bunch of anti-American, naive, commie, jerks.
Believe it or not, some folks disagree with us sometimes. If you are one
of them just know that we love this country and want to help and protect its
people, especially the soldiers who defend our freedom. That is why we work
to create a peaceful, just, and sustainable nation and world. Feel free to
email us if you'd like. We get a lot of hate mail and answer very little of
it.
If you don't see your question here, email us at
info@truemajority.com and
we will try to get back to you with an answer.
Thanks again,
TrueMajority.
