extraordinary, ongoing dialogue about this NEW
Story? Naturally, this website is partial to what

of Transcendence" with me, [or even if you
don't! -- I hope you will] please find ways to bring
your personal talents and wisdom directly to the
various communities that will develop, especially on
the LAL portal, where we will together explore and
cultivate world-sized group intentionality and
values toward a global culture of thriving
sustainability and Heart.

Assess to make this easy to grow even very large and
still be simple to maintain. Also, establish
in a way that assures a triple bottom line (TBL)
-- social, environmental, economic.
Including: A kind of 'good housekeeping
seal' we become known for; set up so there is a
seamless flow between what and who we are
representing and what we collectively [with clients]
want to support, protect, nurture in the world, with
every act of buying -- and not buying. Add-in
info spotlights throughout this part of the site
[stories, activism opportunities] that tie as
directly as possible to the given products /
services. Could even be petition option, such
as against similar products-etc. that harm the TBL].
Also interspersed [as topically appropriate] briefs
on healthcare products / services [e.g., 'what people
don't know about green tea', while promoting more
healthful, less harmful options -- or promoting
(article) more viable TBL options].
Client-side reviews like amazon.com in a way that
automatically circumvents people who are bent on
pranks and other mahem. We can also use this to acknowledge
and even spotlight our information sources [e.g.,
Mother Jones]. These can be accessed in at
least two ways, such as catalog-style by type and
various alpha listings [product / service ; activist
organization ; information source ; articles /
briefs] by name; also optionally accessed with a
committed search engine. By display default,
this is interwoven, almost magazine-style, emphasis
on products / services with the TBL shining through
in many ways.

I feel strongly, intuitively that a new-generational
precedent can be established to organize a major
conduit for activism that could be far more
mutually, resiliently supportive, to become even
more like one unified force that carries great
influence throughout the world. Yet
organizations would maintain their individual
integrity as before .. although I can see new,
stronger alliances and mergers growing out of this,
as well. Within the same TBL, 'good housekeeping
seal', and people-review ethic suggested above, what
if we convened a conference for this purpose or at
least rallied organizations to sign up for a kind of
"united states" of such interests, but
within parameters much more in keeping with
something like Dee Hocks did with VISA? (This
would also provide an opportunity to weed out those
that are more about making money than supporting a
TBL.) That "Battle
in Seattle" event with the WTO sets a
phenomenal example for how it could achieve great
things across the most diverse spectrum of
interests.

Our Story-Tapestried Lives; [ living myths?]

This only just occurred to me. Re: memorials
/ stories: Wouldn't it be interesting to
create a global map, google style. For each
memorial [strictly as a choice for each entry /
family], they could put their loved one on the
map. There would be special questions or a
questionnaire they could fill in that would
provide interesting details about that person's life
they would love to share with others, including the
option to add a picture.
So if you were looking for someone, or you just
wanted to browse, you could go to the globe [it
could spin left or right by your choice] and you
could pinpoint a place, say, Singapore, or Podunk,
IA, USA, and the map would take you to that city and
the listings there, preferably using pictures.
Clicking the picture would take you to that person's
memorial online, explicitly with the information the
family or whoever wants to be seen.
They might have other information for others to see
who would use a login-password approach.
Actually, this might be a tie in for a different
service [Love Ties, or?] where someone is very ill
and friends/family who want to be kept closely
informed from anywhere could log in to keep up with
what's happening. If or when the person who is
ill dies, there would be the option to choose a
memorial template, and so this would eventually show
up on the globe mentioned above, if the authors of
the memorial chose to do that.
How might we work directly with this idea to help
people direct much of their sadness and grief into
something beautiful and healing, for both the ones
who are left behind and the one who passed
on?
Tapestries of stories comes to mind --
setting up a format and educating people about how
they can better preserve some of their greatest
treasures in the form of family stories. One
of the things I most regretted with especially my
mother who was the keeper of family stories in our
family, is that so many of these did not get
documented in any way and are basically lost, those
that I and siblings, etc. can't remember or never
knew to begin with.
