Challenges

1.

Working with the by-far largest group / to-be-"institution" in the world.

2.

Creating a new approach to leadership, fresh from the get-go and from the ground-up, based entirely on a non-hierarchical model, using all the genius of Presencing, Dialoguing, etc. -- teaching, exemplifying these skills so that they become the basis for this entire global culture -- wouldn't that be thrilling!  But of course this approach would naturally uphold great regard, respect for all our infinity of differences as people from every part of the global -- and for what any one of us might further contribute to this way of relating with each other.  Every person is valued.

3.

Languaging.  I feel it's important to be inclusive rather than exclusive within AtL / wHe.   My hope is to see this continue to build and work into our collective consciousness, much like the creation of a Sumarai sword.  The layers of fine metals are continually worked and reworked with loving attention so that the many many layers, once definable as gold, silver, bronze, and so forth become one totally homogeneous elemental whole in which you can no longer discern even one identifiable hint of the original ingredients.  We are building a resilient, living, breathing language that only gets better, the more fully we engage together in exploring, discriminating, identifying, map-making, sharing, conveying, mining for meaning everything from the most subtle nuance of shift in the familiar to flat out new territories in our Experiencing within the Field Structure of Attention, wHere the two worlds Touch .. in fact, where our countless worlds touch!

4.

Implicit in the EHE Aftereffects is the understanding that we are together, one by one, discovering the reality of ourselves / Selves as eternal beings who are capable of relationship based on . .  eternities!  The challenge of course is, not too many of us are on the same page with this yet.  How can we help each other, find the means to be with each other consciously in this Context in a way that makes it contagious or like wild fire that begins to catch on?  How can we help facilitate this realization within our collective, every-day, me-and-you, interactive, lives and consciousnesses while standing in the grocery line, tying a toddler's shoe, attending a meeting, greeting a neighbor, feeling the frustration of an unpleasant encounter, exchanging a few words with a coworker in the hall?

5.

Two Ways Perhaps to Name the Same Thing:

A.  The problem of Glamour

B.  Exclusivity vs. Inclusivity as a Lifeview

It is so important to circumvent the glamour element in this work, to convey that sense, again, of I am you in another body.  I spent a number of years living in spiritual communities where it was unquestioned that some people were greater and more 'realized' than others, etc.  This is how I came to understand that as we create and maintain these kinds of thoughts about someone else, not only do we prevent ourselves from experiencing the person before us, but we find it harder to imagine having such abilities, etc. ourselves.  It gets in the way of our own journey.

Only after I returned to live closer to my aging parents, and heard a number of  stories of the exceptional experiences of quite a few people in my very ordinary family, did I realize how accessible is this 'other world' within our everyday existence.  It wasn't about the Experiences per se, it was the closeness, the immediacy, the potential intimacy of this larger-life continuum that hovers around the edges of our days and nights, waiting to be discovered, invited, conversed with, accepted as a normal part of life.  Only then was I able to let it in, finally!  I can't help but imagine what great strides ahead we may take together as we leave this old enchantment, that which hides the truth, behind.

Emphasis belongs almost entirely on taking personal responsibility for what we may project on others, but still, it's important to recognize the obscuring, distracting challenge this represents in this age to our being enabled to observe and know firsthand this Shift in consciousness that is meant to be all-inclusive and so easily goes unrecognized.

6.

Growing social divide between rich and poor -- these are some examples:

  • One objective of AtL / wHe is to reach people under all conditions and through a multitude of ways.  It is anticipated, for example, that a lot of folks who would otherwise have no interest in 'that spiritual metaphysical stuff' will find a genuine interest here at some point because of a serious illness or death through the Physical Death and Dying Portal; EHE study groups off- and online.

  • yes to honoring the Self we all are, no to glamour not only of people but of the Experiences, too.

  • Everyone is a co-participant as well as co-researcher on the DTCII.

  • Ensuring that any membership fees are graduated or waived as occasion arises

  • Leveling the playing field

  • not pressing upon people classes or gurus for amazing fees

My card-carrying, 85 percenter status, way down in the indescribable chain of things is my way of saying I am short on  resources, but long on the very humble end of 85% experience.  And visioning!

7.

top-down ; ground-up ; inside-out

I am not convinced that this pervasive Shift of consciousness can properly be achieved [‘administered’], even by the best-meaning people, merely  from the ‘top down’, in this global groundswell of our becoming, in William James and Rhea A. White’s terms, the MORE that it means to be human… Or even from the ‘ground up’, per se.  It must be undertaken in some fashion that recognizes, appreciates, loves-into-being a universality, something we all potentially, in fact unavoidably possess as innate to the human condition, from the inside-out.  I believe your broader visioning in this way will de-starch the old-world dependency and resistance based on hierarchy, toward the mutual regard necessary for all of us truly to meet connectively – and from within our One Heart – on the same page.

8.

This work [Global Movement ; AtL / wHe] needs to be legitimized.

In Presence [quoting Greg Merten of HP, who quotes Humberto Maturana]:

When Humberto [Maturana]  says that ‘love is the only emotion that expands intelligence,’ it reminds us that legitimacy and trust are crucial for the free flow of information and for how information gets transformed into value.  We will need to use the heart more, which means the quality of our being and relationships with one another become more and more central in allowing and organization to flourish.

In our world's dominating values today, I do not know how, in my situation of low end of the 85%, without the requisite 'pieces of paper', without what most people associate with power [money, prestige, social network, other recognized resources] to manifest the necessary legitimacy to carry this work forward, especially in a BIG way.

This work [AtL / wHe] NEEDS TO BE “LEGITIMIZED” in some way without resorting to a top-down, old-way perspective we’re so accustomed to.   This is not about my personal ‘I’ but rather about every ‘I’; this is not ‘me’ as special but rather each and every one of us as unique and Experiential / potentially Experiential Human Beings.  For example, this work must be seen on its own merits, whether I have 0 or 40 degrees, whether I have accomplished certain types of recognized things or nothing.

[See Legitimizing This Work and ..]

9.

Speaking of raging forest fire that is our world and our humanity in chaotic crisis, yes, but notice the reforestation already so amazingly present -- the quiet proliferation of green growing shoots rising out of the still burning embers and ash!  It’s truly everywhere – this global consciousness Shift in process.

Real life nightmare scenario:  environmental destruction ; growing social divide between rich and poor ; biotechnology bereft of an operative conscience ; escalating violence and anomie

vs.

A comparable list of all that is the GOOD, TRUE, BEAUTIFUL shining from within our very midst:  this nearly invisible consciousness revolution / Movement about to discover itself [however:  not an 'us vs. them'; we are all 'US'!  Some are just more Awake at the moment.]
