Tiger by the Tale . . .  'er, That, Too!

When I first happened upon the pyramidal prism you see on many of these pages, the initial inspiration behind the creation of this website, I learned the symbol on the end-weight for the chime is that of a tiger.  For some reason it seemed a bit incongruous with this sonorous little chime, topped with a delicate, glass rendition of a symbol we attribute foremost to Ancient Egypt -- far removed from the archetypal tiger that came to mind, the Bengali or Siberian.  It was just an intriguing detail associated with a trinket, so it really didn't speak to me, except for the actual flow of the Chinese symbol:  a gorgeous representation of power, strength, creative intelligence, intensity, yet unpredictability -- the swishhh of the cat's tail, just before . .  what?

Little did I know!  But of course, that's the whole point, the very nature of  tigers-by-the-tail!  They approach by exquisite stealth and seem to spring from out of nowhere, even from beyond the reach of our intuition, tail swishing!

          With very toothy grins . . .

Sw ish h-swis hh hh h . .         .  .   l     e      a                !         . . .   !

If you need a bit of a pick-me-up now and then, pray for a tiger of this species.  It is one of the best stripes of adventures . .  with teeth!  But if you chance to win the respect and love of such a magnificent beast, the happy, affectionate purrrr -- or in this case chuhh-chuhh-chuhhhh -- bestowed like a blessing upon you is a unique soul-building tonic like no other.

Assuming you aren't just eaten alive at the beginning and that ends that, don't get mesmerized and thus fatally slowed by the wonderment [or fear] of "what next" as you watch this magical creature in your midst.  Quick, gather your wits -- YOU take the first leap!  Cats often love surprises -- grab that tail, or even better, leap on its back, hang on for dear life, and  see  where heshe takes you.  It won't be off to the petting zoo, I assure you!  Without doubt, the adventure will both terrify and delight.   But not to worry; this species is a divine emanation on a holy mission, and you are in the midst of a dizzying host of invisible champions for your mutual cause of good will and good works.  You just have to relax, be soul-present, and let the blessing force flow through.   And don't let go.  This is a ride not to be missed!

So what does the swish of a tiger's tail have to do with what you will find on ahhh-theLight.com, you may ask.  [Toothy grin . .]  You know what comes next:

That's a whole 'nother tail . . .  'er, TALE, I mean!

And by the way, if it's any comfort, I've been eaten alive several times.  But if you are reading this, that's a sure sign:  I got over it.    .. Did you know there's no death??  If so, you've met something of this same divine species that has visited me or one closely related.

the 'tiger' that owns me

Isn't the tiger terrific?   The inspiration for this image comes from the webpage of the world-class photographer, Mr. Toshiji Fukuda, who is from Japan and who made a whole page of tiger photos.  They are so fascinating and beautiful!!
