Aftereffects of EHEs:
Essentially, Kenneth Ring was the first academic
researcher to take up the study of near-death experiences soon after
the medical doctor Raymond Moody,
Jr. published a book naming them in
1975. So, material first attributing characteristics known to be
associated with near-death experiences also to many other types of
such experiences begins, far as I've been able to tell, with
Ring. My
best reference thus far for citing Rhea White's own hypothesis to this
effect is the Brief Overview of Exceptional Human Experiences,
first published in a journal in 1993 [see article for citation].
This is
why her article is placed below, rather than as the aftereffects
article above.

Rhea
White quietly passed from this world on February 24,
2007, no doubt thrilled to be going HOME! As a result
her original website, www.ehe.org,
has been in transition. Until recently online accessibility to her
works has been available through her also extraordinary web
mistress, Palyne Gaenir. With Ms.
Gaenir's permission, I have placed on this site, at least
temporarily, a number of articles
and reference pages by White [and sometimes also by
White's 'right-arm' research cohort, Suzanne V. Brown].
These are defining works that are frequently referred to on
ahhh-thelight.com. Ms. Gaenir felt the most important
thing to White would be that people have access to this
work. Recently, the Parapsychology
Foundation, to whom
White bequeathed her Great Work, has re-established the
original website. As that stabilizes and all that you
find here becomes readily accessible again, her articles
currently found here will likely begin to be replaced by
links to www.ehe.org once
more.
