Rhea
A. White's
"Project
of Transcendence"
|
In her "Dictionary of EHE-Related Terms:
An
Experiencer’s Guide," Rhea A. White and co-author Suzanne
V. Brown
describe what they call a Project
of Transcendence:
After
cultivating and nurturing EHEs, they may lead to a new way of
being, living, and connecting in the world. This may lead to
fresh insights concerning one's life purpose and
"calling" that involve aspects that transcend the
experiencer's ego and everyday activities and bestow a sense of
grace and of doing and living as one is uniquely
"meant" to do.
|
On this page, you will find a number of ways to explore Rhea White's
life work, her Project of Transcendence, that grew like a giant
beanstalk out of her seedling near-death experience when she was 20
years old. It was that re-formative 'genetic
encoding', one could say, of her consciousness that unfolded over the course of the last
50-plus years into this blueprint for a new stage of
collective understanding and development to which we as a species are
awakening or moving into, one person and one transformative experience
at a time.
Her life certainly reflects her definition above. Before her NDE
she lived totally for becoming a woman golf professional, circa
1950! She did not lose that first love, and in fact one of her
latter-day superheroes was Tiger Woods. But "being held in
the Everlasting Arms" flat changed all that. White began
her awakening to that MORE that it means to be Human through being
introduced into the Larger-Life scope of our truly native existence as
spirit beings, which led
to "a new way of
being, living, and connecting in [this] world," and to an
endless abundance of "fresh insights concerning one's life purpose
and 'calling'" transcending the narrow vision of the small ego
grown from the soil of the consensus physical reality. Indeed and as a result of the
life-riveting need to understand what had happened to her during that
terrible crisis, this woman has enjoyed a rare grace, "doing and living as one is uniquely
'meant' to do." Thus came into being the Exceptional
Human Experience Paradigm.
White's labor of love is not a "manual" for
how to live but rather the brilliant observations and understanding of a
woman who has lived what she speaks from the inside out, from its
origin in her near-death experience. This Big Idea is the imprinting for a fundamental shift in
consciousness that, one at a time, we are all undergoing, taking us, as
it did her, beyond the boundaries of the physicalistic,
authoritarian, death-is-death I(r)Rationality into what she and
William James refer to as that "MORE that it means to be
human." White's Great Work shines with this MORE both in her
living it and through what she has given us.
Her incepting experience took place more than 50 years ago. For
a long time she thought of it as her "accident" that put her
squarely on the path to have to make sense of what she experienced
during that out-of-time encounter with the
Ineffable, who spoke these words to her:
As you explore her work, you will recognize many facets of this
phenomenon succinctly outlined in the aftereffects.
Initial research by other scientists into near-death experiences
demonstrated these characteristics. White's research showed that
these attributes apply to all types of exceptional experiences, not
just NDEs. She was one of the original
pioneers who, as both researcher and
human being, was able to grasp the big picture and to convey her and
others' -- I
want to emphasize, experiential -- knowledge in a context rich with meaning,
purpose and direction that potentially applies to all of us as human
beings insofar as we come to live out of the MORE that we all
are.

Because
of her passing, Rhea White's website, www.ehe.org,
has been in flux on and off over much of the last year. White
bequeathed this major window into her prolific works to the
internationally renowned Parapsychology
Foundation.
Through their good graces, using the original web address, it now
appears to be re-stabilized online. Many thanks to the
Parapsychology Foundation for this Great Gift!
