What if we together, with collective purpose, undertook the practice of radical trust in Spirit?  Rudolf Steiner suggests we are uncompromisingly to trust Spirit in regards to all that comes forward to meet us, outside and inside, with the understanding that everything reflects "the ever present help of the spiritual world."  

The Individual Practice

          In my mind, that trust originates and rests within the relational web of all life [in and between both worlds] that thrives ideally as resonance.  Trust is a conscious act of surrender that brings us or maintains us within that web or field of resonance; it keeps the channels open and manifests as a distinct FLOW between the physical and the spirit worlds.  When we lose our sense of trust in the Invisible Company, we separate ourselves out of this web of universal being and suffer instead a profound sense of isolation and dissonance.  

          Insofar as our trust is engaged and supported [by our human selves], we are able to experience the seeming negative as well as the positive as the special wisdom [and love!] reflecting back into our lives the very best that Life has to offer.  Everything is exquisitely, profusely rich with meaning and purpose -- when we live out of this relational Trust.  If at times we experience pain and the so-called negatives, our trust in their ultimate Good not only lessens our felt suffering, but also many times gifts us with unexpected, amazing, delightful, soul-expansive outcomes.  I believe in living this way, we also reflect more fully the characteristics of EHE aftereffects, such as what Rhea White describes as an increased moral consciousness and reverence for all life; greater tolerance for ambiguity, a positive outlook and experience of life, distinct appreciation for differences, more altruistic, lessened or lack of fear of death, etc.

          When that Trust is lacking, when we lapse into loss of trust, we see this reflected back to us as more suffering and less perceived meaning and purpose.  Life literally loses its meaning for us, and we feel lost in our negative thoughts and feelings.  We become more susceptible to the victim-predatory perspective and what that attracts, more of the same. 

          Implicit to this Trust with a capital 'T' to me is a vigilant inner Listening with the whole of one's being into the heart of all things and all ways that move into and through our [one's] field of thought, feeling, and experience throughout the days and nights of our conscious embodied lives.  There is a committed sense of taking responsibility for how that which comes to meet us reflects fully the quality, persistence, and strength of our thoughts and feelings.  

          In this way, we learn that the quality and steadfastness of our thoughts/feelings are clearly reflected back into our world, a mirror of the spirit world.  We discover that we are engaged in a communal dance with the Ineffable and Immanent, like a most intimate ongoing wordless, wondrous conversation with All That Is!

As a Collective Work -- The More Global the Better!

          Imagine our putting our minds/hearts fully into being present to each other [we, who are also spirit-manifest] with our creative gifts, resources, needs, visions, and collective will and joy.  That we bring that radical trust into our work together to the purpose of holding a unified vision of healing, health, wholeness, wholesomeness -- Spirit-filled, Spirit-radiant in every detail and in all beings, all circumstances.  What do we want to imagineer together consonant with our spiritual trust and all that implies in collaborative co-creation between the physical and spiritual worlds??  

• A shift of heart that would negate any further crimes of violence?

• The healing of destructive conflicts that are generations old, even thousands of years old?

• A change of heart that can no longer live out of greed and predation and victimhood?  For example, focused on the brutality extant in places like Sudan and Nepal?  The Sh'ite and other philosophies that particularly victimizes women?  

• New, effective means to engage our disenfranchised, wounded, alienated youths who are otherwise bound for a life of crime and destructiveness, into lives filled with meaning and purpose, joy, healing, and fulfillment -- again:  a change of heart that reconnects them to their spirit selves?

• Less violence fed to our children, even our very young children, through the media?

• A permanent healing to the Middle East conflict?

• A truth-saying, wholesale reconsideration and recreation of our world's financial infrastructure -- this time on the basis of a sustainable global economy that allows everyone to enjoy a life of dignity, with basic essential needs met ... and so much more [details to be enumerated among us]..?

• A universal repudiation of all weapons of mass destruction [or maybe just all weapons and the felt need for weapons in the first place]?

• A direct "phone line" to and mutually nurturing relationship with the weather and climate devas / beings / intelligences?  Not to mention, a universal human acknowledgment and commitment to unplug and get rid of all the technologies, dependencies on dangerous and unhealthy fuels, and behaviors that feed these patterns destructively?  Thinking of icecaps disintegrating, the greenhouse effect, the depletion of the ozone layer, the pollution of air, land, water, the dying off of so many species, the literally wholesale depletion of fish, etc. in our oceans ...

• The flourishing of the rainforests?

• The Shift in human consciousness becoming so prevalent so quickly that we practically witness a world-wide miracle of reorientation and transformation in every aspect of our lives and our understanding of what it means to be Human?  PS:  With no one left behind!

• Industries and sciences [where there is lack thereof] to become invested with a moral consciousness, not to mention a reverence for all life?

• oooooo!  And Big Government, translationals and monopolized, manipulated media:  Even a little twinge of conscience and reverence could seem like a world-changing Shift of a miracle!

SURVEY      

For all who wish to participate, they must fill out a survey – extensive enough that no one wants to do this twice!  One way to control for each person can only fill out one survey.  The questions will not include name or other of that type of personally identifying info, but is rather along these lines: 

1.       level of education

2.       where one perceives self in the broadest spectrum possible of religious, areligious, spiritual [these terms will be defined]

3.       maybe a wild nest of adjectives – like a hundred or more – and people check any / all the ones that apply

4.       age

5.       contentment scale – like, 0-10

6.       joy scale

7.       fulfillment scale, 0-10

8.       accomplished what you want in life, 0-10

9.       loner-communal continuum or on basis of 1-10

10.  social harmony, 0-10

11.  liberal-conservative [hmmm; have to be very well defined, especially if this is a global survey]

12.  traditional-progressive

13.  favorite interests [people, technologies, animals, music, games, travel, sports, food, ETC…]

14.  favorite avenue to reach out to others [on behalf of children, elderly, ecology, community, … justice, gardening, your church/temple/synagogue/mosque, family, animals, politics, conflict resolution, active service, philanthropy,

15.  how best to reach out—personal preferences?  [give time, creativity, leadership, support, money, prayer, active community involvement, local, not local …]

TARGETS

We can together create a list of "targets" -- suggestions from everyone.

Then we will vote on this list to come up with the strongest 100 [or some number], based

on how many votes they get.

They will then be listed by rank of votes.  Or we could choose NOT to

list by rank so that bias is absent from our collective attention.

The rest will not be discarded, but will be added to future attempts for

same practice.

Many ways we can go from here. 

We could have global and ‘local’ targets, and another list of every country, region, etc.  [Much of this repeats the above list of possibilities we might want to address together; my apologies.  Will edit as opportunity presents itself!]

          GLOBAL:  e.g.,

• ozone layer

• protection and balanced, healthy replenishing of the oceans

• re-flourishing of the rain forests

• adequate food, shelter, clothing for all

• clean and plentiful water for all

• increased mutual positive regard among all people everywhere and healing / letting go of destructive and unproductive conflicts

• education for all children

• the end of prejudices such as race, religion, gender, sexual preference, etc.

• clean, plentiful fuels and supported technologies [e.g., transportation, heating, cooling, manufacturing, communications] that are not destructive to environment or dangerous to the health of living creatures, including human beings

• no child labor

• no slavery or similar abuse

• no terrorism and the machinations that support it

• GMOs

• Big pharma, transnationals, globalization ‘take-overs’

• Threats to organic, natural [really], healthy food, supplements

          ‘LOCAL’

• name every possible ‘in-the-news’ item imaginable, especially those that are either chronically in the collective consciousness [e.g., Iraq , Iran , US, Korea , Bali, New Orleans , Africa, S. America ]

• Various world leaders

• Issues:  latest natural disasters, latest shoot-out at the NOT-okay corral, ..

          EVERY COUNTRY / CONTINENT / ISLAND / TERRITORY [ Arctic , Antarctic ..]

• Absolutely every country on the earth [this could be a THIRD list!]

COLLECTION AND STUDY OF DATA

In all cases a volunteer group will divide into 2-3 teams who will each independently keep an ongoing analysis of the various experiments.  These could rotate or get selected by lottery .. or maybe various scientific institutions / organizations could volunteer to host this part of the project.  Even so, this information will be open to all, so really anyone, any group can participate in this way independently and over time undertake any number of avenues toward studying and utilizing the data.

Or through a grant or other source of funding, this could be undertaken as a project in is own right...  the collection and study of the data.  In the meantime, independent peer reviews are strongly encouraged.
