I think we must shift the base of Western industrialized society from technology to transcendence, from drudgery to delight, from science to meaning. For science does not create meaning. It is the act of humans pondering data who see the connections and provide the meaning. wHeretwoworldsTouch.com as a Capable Instrument of 

This Consciousness-Shift Movement

 

 

          wHeretwoworldsTouch.com is an umbrella-like domain embracing five interrelated but independent ‘subwebs’.  One of them concerns a multitude of services related to death and dying.  The other four invite an immersion into what most people would recognize as spiritually transformative experiences.  Here, they are most often called exceptional human experiences / EHEs.  Similarly important terms you will meet here include the "EHE process," and the world-healing significance of the resulting, frequently life-transforming consciousness shift developing worldwide.  This Shift is impressively mirrored in the nearly universal EHE Aftereffects and is described by the oft-quoted Rhea White and William James as "the MORE that it means to be Human."  One result of this Consciousness Shift is a commonly-heard refrain about the EHE Journey:  

 

"If there is one thing that can save the Earth and ourselves from our alarming ignorance and  destructiveness, it is these experiences and what people learn from them and how their lives are transformed by them."       

 

 

A great desire and need for radical change in human consciousness

          We all recognize this speaks to a crying need.  For example, in an article soon after the 9/11 incident, entitled "Global Mind Change - Deeper Causes:  Exploring the Role of Consciousness in Terrorism,"  the late Dr. John E. Mack wrote, 

 

The words of wise leaders have cautioned us about the need for a fundamental shift in thinking and perception.  Former Czech President Vaçlav Havel and Albert Einstein are two such figures.  Havel, in his February 1990 address to the United States Congress, spoke of the “antiquated straitjacket of the bipolar view of the world,” and stressed that “without a global revolution in the sphere of human consciousness, nothing will change for the better in the sphere of our being as humans.”  Einstein warned repeatedly that without a fundamental change in human thinking, our species would drift toward ultimate catastrophe.

rEvolution:  The Awakening Self we all are

          Our immediate descriptors may vary, but most likely, every person quoted on this page would readily agree today that this rEvolution is in progress.  Corroborative data suggest the growing numbers of people who have had exceptional and exceptional human experiences [EEs and EHEs] across the globe can be counted in the hundreds of millions, perhaps even in the billions.  Even so, their singular Voice is yet to be known, even among themselves!  

          Although we as individuals may be much more conscious in this context than even ten years ago, we as a collective, mutually aware, global population have a ways to go.  But so many things are ripe for this to happen.  Some of the more compelling features of this Movement about to  discover itself are these:

 

1.	For a number of reasons, there has been an eye-opening increase of such Experiencers over the last half century with no signs of abating, quite other in fact, a phenomenon noted in many countries.
2.	Speaking of these life-changing events, frequently EHEers describe them as "realer than real" and "the most important thing that every happened to me."  These could just be empty words but for this fact:  There is no disputing their clearly [most experiencers would say] transformed and widely-recognized worldview, behavior patterns, and values resulting from these many types of exceptional experience.  And as some Experiencers have observed [e.g., PMH Atwater, also, Claire Blatchford -- see three paragraphs down], they often distinctly recognize each other -- without a word being said.
3.	One of the most studied characteristics of these Experiences is the striking and  unmistakable universality of this consciousness Shift, a pattern observed among EHEers as a whole, all over the world.  This can also be said to be a natural, not studied, outcome in relation to EHE Empaths.  Something that begs to become a major research interest is possible associations in regards to the Cultural Creatives, 'all things EHE', and this consciousness Shift.  Paul H. Ray and Sherry Ruth Anderson provide an in-depth study of many years concerning those whom they define as the core and green Cultural Creatives, and whose lifeviews and principles appear to be strikingly like those of EHEers and Empaths.   [Compare the several aftereffects pages, in fact, to get a better sense of this.]
4.	So many, many Experiencers, especially from death-transcendent and mystical types of triggering events, also come back saying with one voice -- we are not many, but ONE, and to harm another is to harm oneself -- meant literally; this is no mere poetic phrasing.  Their consequent behavior certainly reflects this understanding!   Indeed, this is implicit in their expanded and unitive consciousness that comprises the growing new consensus reality.
5.	Especially those who have had death-transcendent types of EHEs almost unanimously come back no longer fettered by belief vs. nonbelief in G-*-D, by whatever name.  Rather, they convey a ringing sense of clarity from what is for them experiential fact:  Spirit IS, G-*-D IS.  Even though many Experiencers, such as those of Buddhist traditions would use very other terms, such as [multidimensional] L-I-F-E IS, they all know-that-they-know they refer to the same-same -- to the infinite, eternal, omnipresent Consciousness that is All-That-Is that pervades all-dimensional reality.  They all know unequivocally from their firsthand "inoculations of immortality" LIFE IS all there is, or we could say CONSCIOUSNESS [or SPIRIT] IS all there is.   They have seen, heard, met, had conversations with, known, been ONE with, been personally loved by None-Other-Than .. ! -- by whatever name --   They Know.  [See PMH Atwater's quote at top of quotes page.]
6.	The Experiencers and their characteristics and EHE aftereffects have  been the subject of extensive investigation by major universities and research institutions all over the world.  Frequently, researchers themselves have said they were so impressed by the Experiencers, their own values, and worldviews were also altered to mirror those of the Experiencers.  There are notable cases when this has even occurred with researchers who were highly skeptical initially, such as well-known British writer Colin Wilson [See Gary Doore's remarks].
7.	This Experiential understanding / awareness / consciousness Awakening is becoming more apparent everyday, which is the FLAME continuing to feed itself and to grow.  More often now, we see the subject pop up in unexpected ways and contexts and with growing strength.   Only as I started actively researching possibilities for partnership and funding did I discover a whole other world of astonishingly resonant people, organizations, and even online communities within fields of interest I had just never thought to look into.  Examples are futures development, economics, business management,  communications, anthropology interests, and leadership training.  I had no idea!!  It's like being in your own backyard, as familiar to you as the face that peers back from a mirror, and one day you notice in one corner of the yard or estate a huge tree several hundred years old you absolutely know you have never seen before!        I had thought I had a finger pretty firmly on the pulse of what's out there.  No telling where else this "fire" has spread, of which I'm not yet apprised, and I'm very eager to know.  What a gloriously unexpected  diversity -- already!  We need to find the ways and means to connect, bond, collaborate, help each other better serve the world-sustainment and Humanizing agendas.  Becoming a single global activist Movement is an imperative for our survival and thrival!

 

When at last we meet, we will indeed "move forward as one" ..  Nothing can stop us!

          We must respond to this consciousness-raising imperative, now.  As Satprem has said, "... when we take a good look around, there isn't much to lose."  These Experiencers actively becoming identified as a group -- a global Movement such as the world has never seen -- will naturally result in their coming together and organizing with intent as a global groundswell of people everywhere for the sake of our fragile world.  This growing understanding about our evolving Humanity has the potential to spread to the tipping point and beyond, to transform our entire species, even as it has thus altered individual Experiencers / EHEers themselves.  If there is an answer to our human and planetary dilemma of these times, it is these transformative Experiences and this global Consciousness Shift Movement that most emphatically has these in common.  Exceptional Human Experiences and their natural impact on people and this vast population of Experiencers are without doubt, and even as many EHEers have been trying to tell us, our ticket to a sustainable and humane world.  

          The vast majority of people who have undergone these kinds of life-changing experiences thus far feel very isolated and alone, in spite of the fact we generally recognize these types of occurrences do happen and apparently to large numbers of us.  Because of lack of understanding, the significance of exceptional human experiences has been overlooked or ignored.   They have been certainly popularized as wowie events, as hardly more than entertainment, but we have cultivated no useful contexts for society as a whole to become more educated about them and their implications for our world and our evolving humanity.  With rare exception [such as the International Association of Near Death Studies], EHEers have not had widely recognized, acceptable and safe venues, social institutions, and the like -- and with the essential advantage of a recognized neutral languaging -- in which to talk about them.   These extremely potent activators of our greatest human potential have not been the enablers they could be because of the pervasive silence and lack of awareness, open-mindedness and acceptance about them.

          Even Rhea White has herself said, 

 

          The time has come for the exceptional human experiencers of the world to unite.  They have nothing to lose but their stigma.  Exceptional indicates they are already privileged.  While others are seeking the pot at the end of the rainbow, they are already in the rainbow.

 

The vehicle of choice is the Experiencers themselves.  As a conduit of great versatility and connectivity, wHeretwoworldsTouch has a crucial role to play.

          The multiple communities of wHeretwoworldsTouch as well as Ahhh-TheLight, the several books soon to be published [along with other media options], and what will become a worldwide network of EHE Study Groups will propel this revolution into what will feel like an extraordinary "fast-forward."  Raising the awareness of the true worth and flagrant ubiquity of exceptional human experiences, to date, so undervalued and under-known as the world-shaking phenomena they are, will propel a wave of joyous recognition and support among EHEers everywhere.  Also, importantly, many other people who have had such experiences but did not know how to value them will gain direction and personal validation that will further feed the momentum, the flame of this Movement's inner-sourced, Heart-Awakening agenda and success.   Added to this group, naturally will follow EHE Empaths, those who may themselves not remember such experiences but who movingly feel or intuit the truth of others' EHEs and the reality and significance of this Shift.
