Getting out into nature, even if it's just your own backyard or walking around the block, is frequently a direct connector for people to things spiritual. It is not unusual, for example, when you are attentive to what is immediately around you in nature, to feel a sense of presence that is not sourced in other people or creatures, nor in anything else you may or may not be aware of physically. You might open yourself to this, for example, through a deep inward focus or concentrated listening with not just your ears, but with your whole being and body, as if into a Void, or openhearted receptivity or love of beauty or gratitude or devotion. Any of these might invoke this distinct awareness of presence in which you know you are on holy ground. But don't mistaken this to mean 'this spot but not that spot'. The mind and heart, when they stretch for a deeper consciousness in this way or just allow More in, co-create with Spirit the opportunity to experience this. And, although any place may have its own energetic signature, all share the same background radiation of Spirit that is present everywhere. This suggests, regardless of what you perceive 'out there', it's all about what you feel or about the quality of feeling and intensity of expectation within that dictates your experience. If you are intent on discovering the Sacred Presence as your experience, where is Holy Ground not? |
