The Spiritual
Wing of the Consciousness 'Bird'

To
put us back on track, I began the first article [see
"secular"]
with these words: Almost with

and EHE researchers [often they themselves are EHEers or

EHE

have expressed the same idea
given here:
On a worldwide scale, we are moving into a new era, and more to the
point, into
a new
consciousness beyond what humanity has
ever experienced
before, now becoming our new birthright.
Here,
we continue with the spiritual wing:
A few individuals distinguish this
Shift as so transformative, they consider it to be the
heralding of a new species of human, such as John White
and Richard Maurice Bucke, cited below. Both men were
deeply convinced of this "new species"
conception as a result of [in each case] a "cosmic
consciousness experience" -- Bucke at the beginning of the
20th Century and J. White in the 1960s. Some
describe this transformation in terms of 'a new earth and
new heaven', such as David Spangler, Pierre Teilhard de
Chardin, Sri Aurobindo and "The Mother" [Mirra
Alfassa] describe it as a result of long-accustomed lives
as Seers into other-dimensional realities.
As you read these
further examples,
notice what your intuition or knowing or gut feeling
reveals to you.
Such
As ... ..
Dannion Brinkley, who has also now had at least three core
NDEs, came back 'on fire' from his first near death
experience [pun intended -- it was a lightning strike]
with 117 predictions, that he had 'seen' in the other
world. By the time he published At Peace in the
Light in 1995, he had identified evidence that
convinced him that 95 of these had come true.
"The Beings of Light, however, told me something
important about these revelations, something that shows
the importance of each and every one of us. Here it
is:
There is a great spiritual movement afoot on the
earth. This is a movement that has the power to
change the direction of mankind.
All we have to do is realize that the future is not
written in stone. All of the events that I saw in
my visions and all of the events that seem to be taking
place in the world around us can be altered by group
effort. All we have to do, the Beings told me, is
view ourselves as spiritual beings, living in a
spiritual place, with a spiritual purpose.

Speaking
of EHEer Richard Maurice
Bücke, MD, in the introduction to his classic work published in
1901, Cosmic
Consciousness, it is said that after he himself had
had such an experience, one result was that
"he developed the idea
of this new Consciousness as a mental evolution of
mankind, which as it became increasingly common, and
eventually general, would lift the whole of human life to
a higher plane." ~~George Moreby Acklom
And:
Satprem, the major
biographer and longtime student of "The Mother" [and
also Sri Aurobindo, her spiritual partner] writes:
The realization of the Vedic rishis has become a collective
one. The Supermind [their word for what they experienced as
the "consciousness-force" that created the Earth and all
its creatures and presumably the Universe] has entered the
earth-consciousness, it has descended right down into the physical
subconscient, to the frontiers of [sacred] Matter. There
remains only one final bridge to cross for the connection to be
established.
In
the words of The Mother, who passed over in 1973:
A
new world is born. At present, we are in the midst
of a transitional period in which the two are
intermingled: the old world hangs on, still very
powerful, still controlling the ordinary consciousness,
but the new one is slipping in, so modest and
unobtrusive that externally it doesn't change too much,
for the moment. . . . But it is working, it is
growing, until the day it is strong enough to assert
itself visibly.

Regarding the direct relationship Claire Blatchford has experienced with Christ and similar experiences
enjoyed by many, many people:
None of this should surprise us, for more and more today
the veil between the worlds is parting. Heaven and earth, held
apart for so long, seem to be coming together, and there is a new sense
abroad of the nearness of the human and that which is more than
human. The divine, long experienced as distant and inaccessible,
is felt by many to be intimately interwoven in their lives. Many
now speak of experiences in which God, encountered in many shapes and
forms -- Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu and even Buddhist -- is
familiar: a friend or close relation. And if not God, then
angelic beings, guardian angels, saints, risen human beings -- the
so-called dead. This
is largely a silent, hidden, unacknowledged revolution.
You would
not necessarily know it from what you read in the newspapers or see on
the nightly news. Yet there are signs everywhere. ... Once one
wakes up to it, one is constantly surprised coming across others who
have also woken up to it. A friend says, 'We recognize each other
by the look of clarity in our eyes.' ~~Claire

new heaven and the new earth are forming in your midst.
What I am is not a form. I am life and the spirit of
life. My new heaven and new earth emerge throughout the
world . . . The Choice is not between forms but between
consciousnesses.'
The
identity of this world is one in which humanity confronts itself
as a divine being and takes on with wisdom and with skill, in
wholeness and in love the truth of its identity as co-creator
with God. ... What this new world shall be like will be
discovered and enunciated by many men and women throughout the
world, whose voices will grow to become one voice as they
recognize their oneness.

I proclaim the kingdom that is
within the kingdom of the image of humanity, which encompasses
the worlds of lost and saved and strives to make them one that
[we] may move from conflict into peace and from limitation into

Other Words .
.
There
are so many who have independently come to the same awareness that is the
basis of this
new development in our human evolution. Not all are
from recent times. . . Lest you think this revolutionary unfoldment is merely the latest,
passing new-age hype, the next quote comes from almost 2000 years ago, from one of the documents of the Nag Hammadi find in Egypt.
Discovered in 1945, The Gospel of
Thomas [see annotated translation by
Stevan
Davies], is considered
by some people to be the greatest archaeological find of the last century.
"Incipit:
These are the hidden sayings that the living Jesus spoke and that Didymus Judas Thomas wrote down.

And he said: Whoever finds the correct interpretation of these sayings will never die. |
|
2. |
Jesus said: The seeker should not stop until he finds.
When he does find, he will be disturbed. After having been disturbed, he will be astonished.
Then he will reign over everything." |
At first the above quote from The Gospel of Thomas may not
make sense.
But as you become more familiar with what is on this site, and/or
as a result of your own spiritual experiencing,
first you will be 'disturbed'
by these experiences that are at least initially totally
spontaneous. You can't make them happen; they have to come
to you. There are countless ways to invite them,
prime the pump, so-to-speak, but we have no control over what may or may not come forward to meet
us. The reality we are exposed to through
these momentous events is quite other than the
beliefs we grew up with, the current
consensus reality most of us take for granted, which can be
feather-ruffling, disturbing.
Through
these
Experiences we perceive ourselves and our relationship to our world
and also the Other World in new ways. That can be quite a
shock.
Then you will be
'astonished':
if and as your exceptional experience comes to live in you and through
you, filling your life with revelatory new
meaning and purpose, and therefore leading you to the
MORE of who you are
[a. k. a. "the
Self we all are"],
and that fundamental inner Consciousness Shift takes place,
you thus discover who you really are as a unique part of
Spirit or God/dess or the fundamental living, breathing
Sacredness in all life. You know that you know.
And it fills you with the thrill of astonishment in that
moment of Waking Up to the MORE you are as a singular being
made of the stuff of Living Eternity.
And finally,
within and living out of your Knowing, you will
'reign over everything'.
White's
life serves as an example
here, in which she describes the results of her initial
NDE, followed two years later by this cosmic consciousness
experience:
One
evening when entering into a state of contemplation while
seated before a window, in the gathering dusk outside the
street lamp went on, but I experienced it as lighting up
inside me. Then I experienced the realization that
everything outside was in me and I was simultaneously
everything outside. (By "I" or
"myself" I mean the ordinary feeling of being a
unique self or feeling of "I." In other words,
the feeling of "I" had not changed, but its
content had been expanded immeasurably.)*
She
wrote
that,
reflecting some years later, these events led to a "conscious surrender to the will
of the universe for me. ... I resolved to live from and
incorporate the knowing my EHEs had given me ... earlier
into the way I actually lived my life. I took the knowings
of my (i.e., our) larger self, which for all of us and
everything is the Same, out of the secret places of my heart
and soul and began using them in my work, in my thinking,
speaking, and writing."
In this way she naturally grew to live totally out of this
new understanding of Reality, this "new"
consciousness, no longer mired in the
limitations and distortions of the old consensus view that
shackles us with a disastrous [materialistic, devoid of
Spirit awareness] worldview depleted of meaning and
the Sacred and leads instead to empty, mechanical,
destructive
and poisonous lives.
No longer being trapped in that
perspective is the most liberating, wholeness-making,
healing thing that can happen to anyone. Every time
one more person Awakens in this way is in turn another
contribution to the saving grace of that Self we all are
poured back into the Earth and all life. That is a
matchless level of freedom of choice -- made consciously out of the fullness of Self
awareness -- and is
indeed the living experience of 'reigning
over everything!'
You are now your own deepest knowing incarnate and the ruler
of
your fate.
In short, Thomas' Jesus is talking about the very same thing we are referring to here, which I
call our growing experiential and mutual awareness of the 'Larger-Life
Reality' --
our growing
new consensus reality! --
discovering and living out of the incomparable and timeless joy of the
Sacred Self we all are, each in our own extraordinary way.
And
Another from One of Our Greatest
Western
Seers of All Time .. ..
After
some discussion about first religion and then science in an hirstorical
context, no less than Rudolf
Steiner
himself said, "And
now from the twentieth century onward a third source begins.
It arises because an ever-increasing number of persons will
experience an extension, an enhancement of the forces of
cognition which is not brought about through meditation,
concentration, and other exercises ... connected with the
evolution of humanity ... in the twentieth century, in a more
enhanced manner than has so far been the case."
Steiner
passed away in 1925, roughly 40 years before the emergence of
these phenomena along the lines he had foreseen.

Epical Turning Point in Time ..
Speaking
of another of the Nag Hammadi documents referred to as "The
Secret Book of John," considered by most interested
scholars to be the quintessential
identifying text of the original Gnostics:
The Secret Book suggests that the
story of Eve's birth from Adam's side speaks of the
awakening of this spiritual capacity. Instead of
simply telling about the origin of woman, this story,
symbolically read, shows how the "blessed one above,
the Father" (or, in some versions ..
"Mother-Father"), feeling compassion for Adam,
sent him
|
a
"helper" -- luminous epinoia
["creative" or "inventive"
consciousness] which comes out of him, who is
called Life [Eve]; and she "helps" the
whole creation by working with him, and by
restoring him to his full being, and by teaching
him about the descent of his kind, and by showing
the way to ascend, the way he came down.
|
Thus
Eve symbolized the gift of spiritual understanding, which
enables us to reflect -- however imperfectly -- upon divine
reality. ... The
Secret Book intends this story to show that we have a latent
capacity within our hearts and minds that links us to the
divine -- not in our ordinary state of mind but when this
hidden capacity awakens [us to] . . .
