Whether parents / our closest caregivers and their children agree or
disagree, get along or not, even appear to love each other or not,
still, they are the brave souls who gave birth to our bodies and dared
to see us through the wild frontier of our youngest lives, making great
sacrifices to do so, often with little or no appreciation from their
children, gifting us with their various strengths, principles and
beliefs. Short of direct intervention from what I call Gracious
Infinite Spirit, of all contributions to our earthly lives as a whole,
surely theirs is the most profound!
My mother is clearly an angel who walked softly and with such kindness
on the Earth, whose sojourn here 
continues to teach me so much about
genuinely unconditional love
and patience, forgiveness and magnanimity of spirit. From
the Beyond in a delightful way, she
came back one day to "Paint
the Sky with Stars"
just for me. I have often
wondered what she
would do with all that creative and beautiful energy if she had not been tied
to kids, and I feel she gave me a glimpse in that moment.
My father gave me one of the most profoundly affecting gifts of my life
when he came back for a moment's visit soon after his passage beyond
this existence to tell me in the best way he could that he loved
me. I continue to feel, sometimes directly, their love and support
in my life, for which I am very grateful.
Thank you, each of you, for the ultimate gift of
my life here and all the sacrifices great and small you made daily for
each of your kids. You both gave nearly your entire lives for your
children. And you have finally been released to go Home!
May my gratitude and love reach you and
bless your continued Great Journey into your ever-greater
Becoming! I know you did your very best for us. I am
committed to remembering and thanking and blessing you every single day
without fail, that you may know you always live in my heart as the very
special individual spirit beings that you are.
